Raksha Bandhan

Today, I want to talk about Rakhsabandan.

It’s an annual festival celebrated on Full Moon in the month of Sawan ( July/August). On this day sister(s) Tie a rakhi (auspicious thread) on the right wrist of her brother(s) to protect them against the wrong influence and pray for their longevity.

In India, these days schools and some offices will be closed. Either sister will travel to the brother’s house or brother will come to the sister’s house. Some of us who are far away will get Rakhi by post.

The brothers in return will have a gift for their sisters. Wishing you all a very happy Raksha Bandhan. May the bonding between brothers and sisters be eternal.
